Recommended level and team for Rayne Syndicate Tower in Palworld

The first Syndicate Tower is pretty challenging.

Once you get settled with a starter base in Palworld, your first real objective is to take on Zoe and Grizzbolt at the Rayne Syndicate Tower. It’s not too far from the starting area, but it’s a much more difficult fight than you think.

Taking down Syndicate Towers is the main objective in Palworld other than building a sprawling base and befriending as many Pals as possible. Each of them has a powerful boss enemy inside and defeating them will net you a ton of experience and some rare rewards. You’ll need a team of powerful Pals that counter the boss’ weakness if you want to succeed, however, so it’s best to prepare before venturing forth.

What Level Should You Be to Fight Zoe and Grizzbolt in Palworld?

Even though the Rayne Syndicate Tower is part of the tutorial questline in Palworld, you won’t be able to enter and defeat Zoe and Grizzbolt without a decent team of Pals. You should be at least level 10 and have a team of level 10 Pals before you attempt this fight, but a team of level 15 Pals will make things even easier — and if you’ve been farming the right Pals, then the battle will be that much more of a breeze.

Grizzbolt is weak to Ground-type attacks since it’s an Electric-type Pal, so bring Pals with Ground attacks in order to maximize your damage output. You can find Skill Fruits to teach your Pals Ground-type attacks if you explore enough, or you can just catch Pals like Gumoss and Rushoar that learn Ground-type moves naturally.

Also, it’s worth investing Technology Points into Pal-specific abilities so you can use Partner Skills during combat. You can use Foxsparks as a flamethrower after you unlock the upgrade and craft it at a Pal Gear Workbench, for example. You can also give Tanzee a gun, which helps a lot

Best Team and Gear for Rayne Syndicate Tower

While you can get through this fight with just about any team as long as you’re a high enough level, there are a handful of Pals that excel in this encounter because of their type advantage. Try bringing Gumoss, Rushoar, or Fuddler in order to capitalize on Grizzbolt’s Ground-type weakness. Also, powerful Pals like Eikthrydeer or Dinossom can be caught near the starting area in Palworld, and they’re great party members as long as you’re able to catch them.

As for yourself, you’ll want to craft Pelt Armor and a Feather Hair Band in order to raise your defense and take more damage during the boss battle. A Bow or Crossbow is highly recommended for this fight as well. Craft 75-100 Arrows ahead of time so you won’t run out.

All in all, you should be able to manage the Rayne Syndicate Tower boss fight with a decent team of level 10-15 Pals as long as you’ve got decent gear yourself. The type matchup against Grizzbolt will make or break your attempt, though, so make sure you’ve studied the Palworld weaknesses and resistances before trying this boss battle.
