Is it Basswood or Basswood?

Basswood is the largest region in Redfall‘s first map and can be tricky to fully explore. Luckily, unlocking the safehouse here guarantees a nice checkpoint and fast travel. So, as soon as you get to Basswood it’s a good idea to head straight for the safehouse. In this short guide, we’ll tell you how to find and unlock the Basswood Safehouse in Arkane Austin’s latest title, Redfall.

Redfall: How to get the Basswood Safehouse

Redfall‘s Basswood Safehouse is found near the center of the region. It’s on the eastern side of the dried-up river that runs through this area. Check out the map below for the exact location of the safehouse.

Once you get to the locked safehouse in Basswood, you’ll notice it needs the nearby generator on. Luckily that generator is placed very close by. Just look behind you after facing the Safehouse door, and you’ll see it there. However, the tricky part is that this is one of those Redfall Safehouses with an extra step. This generator requires a key, which you’ll need to find. Fortunately, this too is very close by.

If you look to the left of the generator you’ll see a car with a dead body located next to it. And in the car’s door, you’ll see the Basswood Safehouse Key jammed into the keyhole. Then all you need to do is use this key on the generator, and you’ll supply power to the safehouse. The door to Redfall‘s Basswood Safehouse should now be open and free to use.

Afterward, you’ll have a fast travel point and a new checkpoint to respawn when you die. If you’re playing through Redfall in single-player, this is something you’ll want to do very soon. Plus it only takes a few minutes to do, so get on that right away.

That’s how you unlock the Basswood Safehouse in Redfall. But be sure to head over and unlock the Shadetree Heights Safehouse as well.
