Remant 2 Wayfarer trait – What happened to it?

The Wayfarer trait has been a fan favorite in Remnant 2, offering players an increase in traversal speed including climbing up ladders, vaulting over barricades, etc. With the recent release of The Forgotten Kingdom DLC, alongside it came a long list of patch notes. The patch notes mention the Wayfarer trait has now been combined with the Swiftness trait.

Originally, Swiftness only increased movement speed such as sprinting and dodging. The Swiftness trait will now include Wayfarer’s effects, increasing traversal speed. Below is the progression path for the Swiftness trait with the recent update.

  • Level 1: Increases all Movement Speed by 1% and Traversal Movement by 5%.
  • Level 2: Increases all Movement Speed by 2% and Traversal Movement by 10%
  • Level 3: Increases all Movement Speed by 3% and Traversal Movement by 15%
  • Level 4: Increases all Movement Speed by 5% and Traversal Movement by 20%.
  • Level 5: Increases All Movement Speed by 6% and Traversal Movement by 15%.
  • Level 6: Increases all Movement Speed by 7% and Traversal Movement by 30%.
  • Level 7: Increases all Movement Speed by 10% and Traversal Movement by 35%.
  • Level 8: Increases all Movement Speed by 11% and Traversal Movement by 40%.
  • Level 9: Increases all Movement Speed by 12% and Traversal Movement by 45%.
  • Level 10: Increases all Movement Speed by 15% and Traversal Movement by 50%.

How to unlock the Swiftness trait in Remnant 2

How to unlock the Explorer Archetype in Remnant 2

The Swiftness trait is the Archetype trait of the Explorer. In other words, you must unlock the Explorer Archetype before you get access to Swiftness. Players unlock the Explorer Archetype after defeating the final boss and obtaining the Broken Compass. Once you have the Broken Compass, you can craft the Golden Compass Engram to officially unlock the Explorer.

Once you unlock the Explorer Archetype, you will have access to the Swiftness trait. This also means you will have access to the Wayfarer’s effects since they have been combined in the latest update. Remember, if you wish to carry over the Swiftness trait to another Archetype, you must reach trait level 10.
