Map packs; what would some publishers do without them? Go broke, probably. It should come as no surprise that Max Payne 3’s release will be followed by a steady stream of new multiplayer maps, held back for the purposes of being sold to you at a later date.
If you fancy partaking in that kind of thing, Rockstar would like to offer you a pre-order bundle deal. For £20 GBP or $30 USD, you can purchase a ‘Rockstar Pass’ which will give you access to every bit of DLC as and when it’s released. Said pass can be bought through Xbox Live and PlayStation Network, or Best Buy and GameStop in the US.
The add-ons will be coming to Xbox 360, PS3 and PC versions of the game.
Here’s the planned line-up, with estimated release dates:
June 2012
• Local Justice Map Pack

Summer 2012
• Disorganized Crime Map Pack
• Deathmatch Made In Heaven Mode Pack
• Hostage Negotiation Map Pack
• New York Minute Co-Op Pack

Autumn 2012
• Painful Memories Map Pack
• Trickle Down Economics Map Pack
‘Local Justice’ will feature a ‘Police Precinct’ map, plus two others, for multiplayer modes like Gang Wars, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Payne Killer. You can read the IncGamers impressions of Max Payne 3’s multiplayer, here. Or watch a video about it, below.
