Sniper Elite 5 – Rubble and Ruin Kill List guide (Mission 8 – Shinji Yoshikawa)

Shinji Yoshikawa, your Rubble and Ruin Kill List target in Sniper Elite 5, can be found in a manor in the western section of the map. The challenge requires you to assassinate him using a Type 100 or a Type 14 Nambu. You should have the Type 100 SMG if you managed to complete the Festung Guernsey (Mission 5) assassination task, which means you can bring it with you as part of your loadout. However, the Nambu itself can only be obtained once you’re done with this challenge.

In any case, I would suggest tagging a couple of Workbenches in this level. The one for the SMG, in particular, is quite important, as it’s inside a house overlooking the manor.

Mantle on the crates and enter the ruined house, then make a running jump to reach a floorboard that you can use to climb to the attic.

Up top, you can use your binoculars to spot all the hostiles, including Yoshikawa who’s chilling by a window.

Note: The attic with the SMG Workbench also has a Panzerfaust and a Type 100 temporary weapon.

You’ve got two options here:

  • You can bring your Type 100 (either from your loadout or the temporary weapon), and infiltrate the manor. There are dozens of hostiles, so take them out and make sure you kill Yoshikawa with the Type 100.
  • Alternatively, you can save some time by shooting Yoshikawa from the attic. It’s a bit tough considering that the Type 100 doesn’t have a scope, and it’s a submachine gun, which means those bullets will spread everywhere. But, if you’re lucky, you can trigger an X-Ray Kill Shot that would drop Yoshikawa.

Either way, you’d complete the Shinji Yoshikawa Rubble and Ruin Kill List task in Sniper Elite 5. You’ll receive the Type 14 Nambu for your efforts.

Note 1: To be certain that the challenge was completed successfully, interact with the Workbench to see if the Nambu has been unlocked.

Note 2: Make sure you do this objective before entering the submarine pen, as you won’t be able to return to the above-ground area of the map.
