The first Sniper: Ghost Warrior wasn’t exactly showered with critical praise (in fact, more often than not, it was showered with abuse), but City Interactive is gamely trying again with a sequel.
While the first game used Techland’s Chrome Engine 4, this second installment will be using Crytek’s CryEngine 3 (the technology behind Crysis 2 and the recent console port of Crysis). So, if nothing else, it should look quite pretty.
If you’re still crouched at a windowsill waiting for the release date motorcade to come cruising obliviously past (is this metaphor tortured enough yet?), then wait no longer. Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 is due out on 20 March 2012, for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
