Star Wars: Battlefront to ‘debut’ at April Star Wars Celebration

There will be a time in the near future when we’ll be able to write Star Wars: Battlefront stories that actually contain meaningful game information. That time will hopefully be mid-April, when the game is shown at the Star Wars Celebration event in Anaheim, California.

EA has let it be known that Star Wars: Battlefront will ‘debut’ at the fan event, which runs from 16-19 April.

This presumably means a first public showing of the actual game in motion (or even a playable build of some sort, maybe) because the game has already been announced (so it’s not that ‘debut’) and been shown at this year’s GDC (albeit behind closed doors.)

As the announcement itself notes, E3 2014 promised more would be shown in spring. April is, indeed, in spring.

Star Wars: Battlefront might not be the only EA-published Star Wars title to show up at the event, as the end of the piece contains this line “We have a lot of exciting news to share with you about all the EA Star Wars games we are working on in partnership with Lucasfilm.”

That might be non-PC stuff, obviously.

If you fancy attending this Star Wars Celebration business, you can find out how to do that on the event’s site. I’d imagine things relating to a certain film will be happening at the show.
