The Adoring Fan is a Trait you can pick in Starfield that allows you to have an Adoring Fan. The Adoring Fan’s appearance is always the same and his literal name in the game is just Adoring Fan. Here is exactly how to find and recruit your Adoring Fan in Starfield.

Adoring Fan location in Starfield
The first few moments of Starfield see you collecting a strange artifact in a mine, getting attacked and then pushing the attack on space pirates, and then flying to New Atlantis to join Constellation. It’s in New Atlantis that you’ll meet your Adoring Fan.
Right after landing, make your way to the tram and go to the MAST District. From there, continue right through the area with dense trees. Enter The Lodge, talk to everyone, put the artifact on the table, and have Sarah Morgan temporarily join your party.

After joining Constellation and therefore completing the One Small Step quest, the Adoing Fan will find you. As you explore, and maybe find your parents if you have the Kid Stuff Trait, the Adoing Fan will eventually find you.

I was in the coffee shop below Pioneer Tower and was talking to a man who gave me a quest. I turned around, and the Adoing Fan was standing right there, coffee in hand. It was the best jumpscare Starfield has delivered so far.
After talking with him, you can assign him to your crew, or reject him in two different ways. You picked this Trait for a reason, so I suggest you assign him to the Frontier.
You can then talk to the Adoing Fan some more and ask him personal questions. You can ask if his love for you is romantic (it isn’t and you can’t romance the Adoing Fan), what his fandom is all about, and what his backstory is.
The only way you can miss the Adoring Fan is if you quickly fast travel to your ship and leave New Atlantis (which I wouldn’t advise because you need to talk to the UC Vanguard officer to make progress through the main quest). If you missed Adoring Fan, simply return to New Atlantis and mosey around until he finds you.
