I really do wish developers would stop pissing about when it comes to “revealing” PC versions of their games, GTA V being just one of the many games we would actually quite like to get some confirmation on.
In a new Q&A with the GTA V team, the inevitable question about a PC version was asked and sadly another half-assed response was given:
“The only versions of the game that we have announced are for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 which are set for a September 17th worldwide release. We don’t have anything to share about the possibility of a next-gen or a PC platform release at this time and we are completely focused on delivering the best possible experience for the consoles people have right now.”
I don’t think anyone was ever in any doubt that they want to deliver “the best possible experience for the consoles people”, and what exactly has that got to do with the actual question? Oh, well I guess it’s too much to ask, and you can read Peter’s article on this very topic.
In the same Q&A, Rockstar did mention that more details of the multiplayer will be revealed this summer and that the multiplayer will be called Grand Theft Auto Online.
The full Q&A can be read over on Rockstar’s blog.
