Subnautica: Below Zero ending guide – Architect components for Al-An and Fabricator Base
Al-An is one of the Architects, a precursor race that explored Planet 4546B and other worlds. You’ll meet Al-An fairly early on in Subnautica: Below Zero‘s campaign once you reach Sanctuary Zero. It’s an old Architect base deep below the Twisty Bridges biome. You’ll know that you’re going the right way as soon as you spot green pillars that lead to an underwater cave system.
Once you activate the panel in Sanctuary Zero, Al-An will merge with Robin’s consciousness. He’ll be able to give you hints regarding other Architect bases and components (i.e., body parts that’d allow you to create a new vessel for him).
There are multiple Alien Artifacts scattered all over Subnautica: Below Zero‘s world, and there’s a good chance that you’ll see a marker when you’re fairly close to one. Alternatively, Al-An would point out a location whenever you’re in a hub (i.e., the drop pod or any base structure that you’ve built). Like Sanctuary Zero, these areas tend to have scannable objects apart from the Alien Artifact itself. Moreover, you could find some resources and materials such as Ion Cubes.
