System Shock: Enhanced Edition now available on Steam

The original action RPG, System Shock, was released back in 1994 and was critically acclaimed by gamers and proved an influence on other game developers for years after. It’s no surprise then that a revamped version for modern systems would make an appearance some time down the road. Night Drive Studios released System Shock: Enhanced Edition via GOG in September to a good reception (Metacritic 85%, GameRankings 80%) and from today it’s available on Steam with a 20% discount which ends on Thursday 29th October.

“With System Shock: Enhanced Edition, we’ve implemented game-changing improvements, including mouselook, widescreen, and a high resolution display mode.” says Stephen Kick, CEO of Night Dive Studios. “The classic game has never been more accessible.”

The Steam version also features Steam Trading cards, the Steam overlay and (partial) Steam controller support.
