Rovio and Hasbro are teaming up for Angry Birds Transformer mashup, this is the 2nd mashup first was the successfull Angry Birds Star Wars. Angry Birds Transformers will make use of the Telepod function that is used in Angry Birds Go and Angry Birds Star Wars II. By placing a figure on the base, you’ll have access to that bird in the game.
Rovio has announced a sub-brand for Angry Birds, called Angry Birds Stella. The brand will be centered around Pink and her friends, and really, it’s Angry Birds for girls without Rovio being upfront about it.
What I mean by that is Rovio’s press releases won’t even use the words women, girls, female or something similar to identify the brand, but that’s clearly what it’s about. They will use words like empowerment, inspiration, and real issues. Rovio seems to have forward looking aspirations with the brand, but it does not all appear to be on the level.
The Angry Birds website has been hacked following allegations that Rovio is purposely giving user data from Angry Birds players to surveillance agencies like the NSA. Rovio has released a statement denying said allegations.
Petri Järvilehto, Rovio’s Executive Vice President of Games revealed that Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and 3DS will be receiving and Angry Birds Trilogy that has been “built from the ground up”.
The trilogy will include Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons and Angry Birds Rio, all of which will feature Playstation Move, Kinect and Streetpass support.
