After some speculation Sony confirmed that the highly anticipated PlayStation 4 exclusive The Order 1886 will in fact be delayed until 2015. The main reason for the delay is that Sony want to give the developers more time so they can make a game that lives up to the hype.
Take this one with a grain of salt, but we hope this leads to a reaction from Ready at Dawn sooner rather than later.
Sony teased yesterday about new gameplay from The Order 1886 and in a Twitch TV stream they delivered by showing new gameplay from developer Ready at Dawn Studios’ The Order: 1886. The gameplay shown was a fire fight in the middle of the street, with cover based shooting at guys in windows and on the road using different types of weapons found in the game.
We’re all excited for the upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive The Order 1886. It takes a gloomy, Victorian London setting and mixes it with a cool steam punk kind of vibe. From what the trailer suggests, gamers will be part of an old group of knights who protect the world from creepy monsters that are half man, half beast.
The game appears to be a great new IP for Sony and understandably many gamers feel this could be a real system seller. Until recently everything seemed to be going fine for The Order but in a recent article by IGN’s Colin Moriarty, it seems there might be trouble on the horizon. In his article, Moriarty reveals that a brief 10 minute hands off demo confirmed some of his fears about the game and has him pondering whether The Order will live up to the hype.
It seems the highly anticipated PS4 exclusive The Order 1886 will not have any multiplayer features.
During an interview with a German website, Ready at Dawn boss Ru Weerasuriya revealed that the game will only be single player and not feature any multiplayer modes. When asked about the possibility of a PS3 port he said: “We currently work exclusively on the PS4 version, Games are always designed for cross-platforms, But clearly, if there is a possibility to take over the physics system to other platforms, we would use this”.
New Screenshots have been released for the highly anticipated Order 1886 that is coming to next gen consoles. The images were found by a NeoGAF user who was looking around Stanta Monica’s new website. The screenshots show the protagonists, called the Knights of the Round Table, fighting with their cool steam punk weapons.
