The Finals players bully with hilarious new potential Goo Gun meta

The "no" cannon.

Most people know about the strongest meta strategies in The Finals right now, including Stun Gun and Invisibility for Lights and RPGs and C4 on throwables for Heavies. However, a new hilarious meta is rising in The Finals, and it’s the Goo Gun.

Is the Goo Gun good in The Finals?

If you search “Goo Gun” in the The Finals subreddit, you’ll find numerous examples of people trolling their opponents with the Goo Gun. The way they do this is by shooting one Goo Gun blob directly at an enemy, which causes them to stop in their tracks… over, and over, and over again.

A good example of this is shown in Reddit user IN_MY_PLUMS’ video. You’ll see how they expertly use the Heavy Specialization Goo Gun to continuously stop the Medium player from moving or shooting. After the Medium runs out of ammo, the Heavy charges in with the Hammer and secures the kill.

How to use the Goo Gun in The Finals

IN_MY_PLUMS posted another video on Reddit that shows them using the Goo Gun to create a bridge to a skybox. They then Goo a player to disarm them and one-shot them with the Hammer. Other players are getting in on the Heavy Specialization Goo Gun action, too — Reddit user ChronoTrader uses the Goo Gun to bully another Heavy player into turning around instead of trying to fight them.

While I’m not convinced it’s the next meta of The Finals, Goo Gun is really funny to use (and watch people use). Goo Gun has a lot of practical uses like creating defenses for a Cash Out, building bridges to out-of-reach buildings, and, as you can see, bullying players.

Whether you use Goo Gun to defend a spot or use it to confuse enemy players, the one thing you’ll want to learn is how to put out fires. Fire is the best counter to Goo, but you can also use it to your advantage to create walls of fire around a Cash Out.
