The Bunker – Water Plant
The Bunker has a Water Plant puzzle that you need to solve.
Make your way through the corridors until you reach a stairwell that leads down (seen below). This is the east chamber and, for now, the only thing you could do is charge Marianne’s spirit-based abilities using the well.
Use your blast to power-up the switch at the Water Plant’s entrance. This will open the door to the control room so you don’t need to do a full rotation. Oh, and you might want to fix the loose wiring that you’ll see along the eastern corridor.
Anyway, take note of the map of the area:
The objective here is to drain all the water from the western and eastern chambers. Doing so will let you reach the central chamber and the exit.
By default, all three chambers (west, east, center) are half-full. As such, you’ll want to do the following:
- Transfer the central chamber’s water to the western chamber.
- Transfer the eastern chamber’s water to the central chamber. This will drain the waters of the eastern chamber completely.
Return to the spot where you charged your spirit abilities earlier and continue down the lower area. Find the valve and use it on the pipe. This will let you funnel the eastern chamber’s waters to a tank instead of using the other chambers.
Next, go back to the control room. Use the buttons to fully drain the western area this time.
The depths of the western chamber has lots of moths, but you can get past them by popping your shield.
Interact with the valve, get your spirit form fully-charged, and return to the control room.
Now, you should be able to drain the central chamber completely. Make your way there (I used the eastern chamber).
You’ll encounter the Maw here. The creature’s guarding the exit.
In my case, I held “F” for an out-of-body experience, then I rushed towards the monster. When Marianne got grabbed, I pressed “F” again to stun it (I think this is possible since I had a full spirit charge). That allowed me to run in the physical world. Anyway, just activate the switch to electrocute the Maw.
