Further reports have appeared on the internet regarding the long-rumoured Thief sequel, said to be in development at Eidos Montreal. This time, a recruitment advert in the back of Edge magazine has revealed that Eidos Montreal’s second project will be revealed on the 11 May – and around the edges of it, you can see something that looks suspiciously like the Thief logo. The advert also makes mention of the accolades that the series has won, including places in Gamespy’s Hall of Fame, Gamespot’s Greatest Games of All Time, and Gamespot’s Ten Best Heroes in Gaming – and the only series that placed in all three, as spotted by Gamespot forum-goers, is Thief. We’ll have to wait until 11 May for more, but we’ll report as soon as we hear anything.Hopefully this will be the last of the rumour articles regarding a fourth Thief game and we can get on with news about the game itself, because I’m running desperately low on adjectives to use when describing the amount of rumours that have surfaced.
