Ubisoft have confirmed that they will be opening their 20th studio in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in late July. This means that Ubisoft will have dev studios on all five continents.
The studio will house 20 developers initially, with a view to having 200 within four years, the main focus being on family oriented games.
Bertrand Chaverot will be the big man as he was Ubi’s lead sales man in Brazil from 1999 to 2003.
Christine Burgess-Quémard, executive director of worldwide studios, said that Sao Paulo, with it’s “cultural richness” and “leading university network will bring a unique set of fresh talent to Ubisoft’s international development community.”
