Ubi DRM Titles Dropped From Steam?

Two Ubisoft titles at the centre of the recent DRM controversy have disappeared from the UK Steam store this morning.

Entries for Assassin’s Creed II and Silent Hunter V are missing, with the store displaying the following message:

“Sorry! An error was encountered while processing your request: This item is currently unavailable in your region”

Both titles include Ubisoft’s new, and highly controversial, DRM measures to combat piracy which have proved highly unpopular following a number of technical issues leaving legit users unable to play their games.

We have contacted Steam for a statement on the issue, stay tuned to IncGamers.
