What do the Red Alerts do in Vampire Survivors: Emergency Meeting DLC?

Don't panic!

Vampire Survivors is famous for leaving players to figure things out by themselves. One such mystery is the Alert phases interrupting players on the new Polus Replica map. If you’re struggling, let me answer: What do the Red Alerts do in Vampire Survivors: Emergency Meeting DLC?

What are the Red Alerts tasks in the Emergency Meeting DLC?

Red Alerts periodically sound on the Polus Replica map. These alerts are accompanied by a banner that reels across the bottom of the screen and, most importantly, a red arrow. The red arrow has a timer on it and marks a location. If you reach the area before the time limit expires, you earn a Gold Rare treasure chest for your efforts.

Gold Rare chests are incredibly powerful in Vampire Survivors, giving five rewards instead of just one. This tremendous boost in power will be impactful no matter what you’re doing. With this in mind, I recommend going for them whenever the occasion arises.

In my testing, a Red Alert starts on Polus Replica when the timer reaches five and 10 minutes. A final Red Alert begins at 15 minutes, and this one is different as you’ll have two markers to find. Like before, you get a Gold Rare treasure chest each time, so it’s well worth seeking them out.

I completed a 30-minute run to see if there were more chests up for grabs, but four seemed to be the limit.

I usually recommend the Wings for any task that requires a lot of running around, but Polus Replica is pretty small, so it’s unnecessary. To make navigation easier, ensure you frequently check your map to avoid buildings.

What happens if I don’t reach the objectives in time?

An environmental hazard will trigger a few areas you must avoid if you don’t want to take damage. It’s not the end of the world if you let this happen, although you have plenty of time to traverse the map unless you’re rocking a slow character.

If you’re new to the Among Us DLC, you no doubt want the Crewmate as a playable character. If you’ve not got them yet, check out our guide on how to do so.
