What is the mystery in the Hallowed Graveyard in Last Epoch?

Be a part of history.

As I play more and more Last Epoch, I’m starting to find things that maybe other players haven’t. While the game doesn’t do a good job of explaining certain things like Ward, it does well at hiding things. One of those things is the Hallowed Graveyard. It’s a cool Easter egg and has some illusions behind it. To discover the mystery behind the Hallowed Graveyard in Last Epoch, read on to uncover the answer.

Last Epoch: What is the mystery in the Hallowed Graveyard?

This little area is tucked away in the Imperial Era, so you must go off the beaten path to find it. But when you do get into the graveyard, you’ll be greeted with five tombstones with names on them. The graveyard seems to be a way of Eleventh Hour Games thanking certain players for help. Each grave that has a name on it represents a real player. Since Last Epoch had a free demo back in 2018 as a part of its Kickstarter drive, you could donate $250. Anyone who did that got their username on a tomb in the graveyard. So you can be a part of the game for a long time unless the developers change it

Additionally, if you donated $400 or more to the Kickstarter drive, you got a named zombie as well. When a player interacts with a tomb, a zombie with the donator’s name pops up, and you’ll have to fight it. Every tomb may not have a zombie, it depends on how much each person has donated.

How to get to the Hallowed Graveyard

As mentioned, you have to be in the Imperial Era. The area is the center part of the map near The Great College. However, if you’re coming from The Outcast Camp, keep following the path till you reach The Soul Wardens’ Road. From there head north.

It should be noted, that at the time of writing this guide, the waypoint in Hallowed Graveyard doesn’t seem to appear. If that happens to you and want to leave, head back to The Soul Wardens’ Road and use that waypoint instead. Hopefully, in time, this issue gets fixed.

The Death Penalty in Last Epoch is kind of strange in how it works. See here if it benefits your playstyle.
