When and where to get the Fuse ability in Tears of the Kingdom

Fuse is the ability to mash objects together to create something entirely new. No, I’m not talking about Ultrahand’s ability to attach objects together. Fuse lets you create new weapons, shields, and arrows using everyday objects. If you’re progressing through the beginning of Tears of the Kingdom and want to know where and when you get the Fuse ability, we’ve got an answer for you.

You’ll have to wait until you lose Zelda and wake up on the Great Sky Island. Soon enough, you’ll meet Rauru, who will guide you to Shrines that can give you abilities. Just like in Breath of the Wild, you’ll have to learn how to use abilities through Shrines. They’re not too difficult to understand, but they can be hard to master.

To receive Fuse, you must do the Ukouh Shrine which gives you Ultrahand. Then, you’re welcome to explore the Great Sky Island, and go to either of the two Shrines in your view. Once you pinpoint them on your map, head for the Shrine on the west side of the island first. The In-isa Shrine will give and teach you all about Fuse.

Once you make it to the Shrine, go through the puzzles to learn the different and unique ways to use Fuse. It’ll explain how you can make weapons stronger by attaching boulders to them, or create a fire arrow with Fire Fruit. The possibilities are endless, and as soon as you solve this Shrine, you’re free to use this ability to your heart’s content.
