Safety first, especially when it comes to a zombie invasion. It is important to get your hands on a Gas Mask early in Modern Warfare Zombies to ensure you’re ready for whatever the warzone throws your way. Once you know where to pick them up, it’s a simple task.

You will need a Gas Mask in Modern warfare Zombies to complete the Aether Nest missions. In these missions, you will have to battle against horrible clouds of death smoke while also fighting off mercenaries. Without a gas mask, you will not be able to complete this mission.

Easiest place to find a Gas Mask

Gas Masks can be found all over the place in Modern Warfare Zombies, provided you know where to look. The Gas Mask is a great item to have because if you don’t use it, it will still carry over to the next game.

I found that the quickest way to get my hands on a gas mask was to kill a few mercenaries. Most of these armed non-zombies are equipped with one, and the stronger ones even come with gold Gas Masks. To find mercenaries, start a mission that includes them. The Aether Nest missions will bring a lot of them in. Attacking strongholds is also a great way to ensure a lot of them. You may even bag yourself a gold Gas Mask in Modern Warfare Zombies.

Buy one

The easiest way, if you’re feeling flush, is to buy a Gas Mask from a buy station. They only cost 1,000 Essence. Also, buying them doesn’t come with the risk associated with shooting up a load of mercenaries. You can find buy stations dotted all over the map and are signified by the shopping cart icon. So, as long as you have the Essence, you can get your hands on a mask.
