Tears Of The Kingdom Rushrooms Guide

Where to find and farm Rushrooms in Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)

Let's get speedy.

Rushrooms allow Link to boost his movement speed in Tears of the Kingdom. They’re really useful for when you’re trekking across large portions of Hyrule and don’t have a horse or a vehicle to use. It’s also just a lot of fun to dash around the place. In fact, it reminds me of the good old days with the Bunny Hood in Majora’s Mask. And if you want to relive that joy too, here are the best ways to get Rushrooms in Tears of the Kingdom.

Tears of the Kingdom: Where to find Rushrooms

Unfortunately, Rushrooms are one of the trickier fungi to farm in Tears of the Kingdom. Most other mushrooms grow on the ground and are very easy to spot. But Rushrooms tend to grow on the walls of mountains and similarly rough terrain. So spotting them from a distance can be quite difficult. Some things do work in our favor though. Firstly, Rushrooms have a large distinct shape that sets them apart from other mushrooms. They’ve got jagged edges and are much larger than most other mushrooms in the game. Plus their white and purple combo allows them to stand out from the walls they stick onto.

As far as farming locations go, there’s one place that’s especially good in Tears of the Kingdom. The Great Sky Islands offer plenty of Rushrooms in a space that’s very easy to search. Rushrooms grow along various walls on these islands and that makes them simple to grab. You’ll want to head to the northwest area of the Great Sky Islands, just to the left of the Temple of Time. I’ve routinely used this spot throughout my playthrough, and I’ve managed to collect just over a dozen Rushrooms every time. Check the map below for the exact location I use.

Alternatively, you can head to the General Store in Korok Forest. This store sells a variety of mushrooms, including Rushrooms, for a fairly good price in Tears of the Kingdom. You can get four Rushrooms for 12 Rupees each here. It’s not as many as you can get on the Great Sky Islands, but if you only need a few this is another good option.

These aren’t the only places to get Rushrooms in Tears of the Kingdom. In fact, you can find them on plenty of mountains and locations with similar terrain. However, these spots are the most reliable way of getting some Rushrooms straight away. Once you’re done collecting these, try looking for other mushrooms in Hyrule. Razorshrooms can boost Link’s attack, while Ironshrooms can bolster his defense.
