Where to find moss in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora

I moss-t answer this question for you. That was terrible, I know.

Moss is one of the most important resources you should be looking out for in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora, but where can you find it?

Since you need it to craft certain armor pieces, but the game doesn’t outright tell you where every resource is, I can help you out.

Avatar Frontiers of Pandora: How to get moss

One thing you should keep in mind when searching for any resource in this Avatar game is that the Hunter’s Guide is your best friend. Once you’ve discovered one material, you can hunt for more at any point in time. Where you can find moss in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora is on rocks in water throughout the Kinglor forest, or on floating mountains.

First off, there isn’t just one type of moss. The first one you may come across is called Bruise Moss, which you can find near water anywhere in the Kinglor forest, and is best harvested while it’s raining. I realized that to find moss I should check my Hunter’s Guide, and I found that I’d discovered Bruise Moss, despite me never actually gathering it yet.

You can also search for any type of moss you’ve encountered through this material filter system. You can then pin the entry, and anytime you’re near it, your Na’Vi vision should highlight it in yellow. Just like how you can get a clean kill with help from the Hunter’s Guide, pinning for materials is your best bet for collecting resources.

While I found it difficult to find the purple Bruise Moss near random water spots, I noticed that my Hunter’s Guide said I could find rarer versions of it on rocks by Dyer’s Bowl in the Spinner’s Circle domain. There were a lot more here than I anticipated, so I recommend you check this place out.

This isn’t the only type of moss you can find, though. Later on, I randomly stumbled upon a new type of moss called Sky Rock Moss. Best harvested in the rain, you’ll find this moss most often on floating mountains. You’ll need to unlock your Ikran first, which is the flying bird you get through the main quest. Then you can fly on floating sky rocks and occasionally find this yellow.

Once you’ve collected some moss, head to a crafting table to craft some chest armor. The higher the quality of your moss, the better the armor you can make.
