Tears Of The Kingdom Armor Of The Wild Guide

Where to find the Armor of the Wild in Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)

Combine nostalgia with practicality.

The Armor of the Wild set may be familiar to some Breath of the Wild players. This outfit was the reward given to Link after completing every single Shrine located across Hyrule. It was a neat reward for those willing to put in the time and effort. And if this was one of your personal favorite outfits, it makes a welcome return in Tears of the Kingdom. Thankfully, the requirements to get it this time are nowhere near as time-consuming. Here’s how you can get the Armor of the Wild in Tears of the Kingdom.

Tears of the Kingdom: Where to find the Armor of the Wild

The Cap, Tunic, and Trousers of the Wild are located in three different areas in the Depths. Specifically, they’re located in the skulls of each Dark Skeleton. You may have already seen one while exploring the Depths, but may have missed the chest hidden inside. Don’t worry, though, because we’ll go through each location now.

The first piece of the Armor of the Wild is located in the Northwest corner of the Depths. It’s really close to the Kato Lightroot so head there if you’ve unlocked that. If that’s not an option, you can access this area by entering the Drenan Highlands Chasm near Thyplo Ruins and heading west. The Hebra Dark Skeleton is just to the east of Kato Lightroot, and it’s hard to miss. Then you can find the chest inside the skull of this creature’s remains. Check the map above for its exact location.

The Tunic of the Wild is located in the southwest corner of the Depths. This will be a long trek if you haven’t unlocked any Lightroots around here. Luckily the Birida Lookout Chasm in the Gerudo Highlands can get you fairly close to the next location. Unfortunately the southwest tip of the Depths is very dark even if you have all the Lightroots in the immediate area. So make sure to bring some Brightbloom Seeds to illuminate the path. The chest will once again be located in the skull.

For the final piece of the Armor of the Wild, we’re headed back up to the northern end of the Depths. The next Dark Skeleton is located to the north of the Fire Temple and is right next to the Kayam Lightroot. Once again, just head into the skull and you’ll find the chest there waiting for you. There are some Horriblins lurking inside the Skeleton, but you can easily ignore them and quickly loot the chest.

Once that’s done, you’ll have the full Armor of the Wild set to use. It’s nice that this outfit makes a return in Tears of the Kingdom, and it’s even better that it’s so easy to get. And that’s not the only outfit from Breath of the Wild that makes a return. You can also get Link’s classic Champion’s Tunic from the previous game too.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is now available for Nintendo Switch.
