This location is easy to miss due to it being tucked away at the bottom of the screen and the lack of control you have over the camera. Just keep an eye out for an archway in the infrastructure leading out to a platform. The image below represents the exact location of where the Mess Hall Key can be found in No Rest for the Wicked.

Once you obtain the Mess Hall Key, make your way back to the door and interact with it to unlock it. Get ready for the fight since all the guards that were harassing Fillmore will now be focused on you. There are two guards with standard swords and one with a shield. Remember to use parry on the one with the shield to expose his weak point.

Once you defeat all the guards, speak to Fillmore; he will be pleased with your efforts to save him. He will also mention that if you have any broken equipment (weapon and armor), he will be more than happy to fix them for a fee. Not only that, but you can also sell and buy items from him as well.

If you ever need to use Fillmore for your repair needs, just know that you can fast-travel anywhere in the game. This removes the hassle of having to backtrack constantly.
