The body responsible for authorising World of Warcraft in China, GAPP, has almost finished its checks into the game, according to a statement.

Despite numerous rumours that WoW may never re-appear in China, GAPP has said that checks into the MMORPG are nearly complete. This follows a reported investigation into Blizzard and NetEase’s joint venture after the switch of operators from The9 earlier this year.
A department director from GAPP confirmed that some violent content in the game will need to be changed, but this should be easily remedied.
