Yonder announced for Q2 2017 from former Rocksteady devs

Open-world adventure Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles has been announced for release on PC in Q2 2017. It’s being made by Prideful Sloth who can boast amongst their ranks two former Rocksteady employees and a former producer for Activision.

You’ll control a protagonist who’s been shipwrecked on the island of Gemea; a place with eight distinct environments, full of different plants and animals (including some adorable tubby elk if the trailer is any indication). Lovely though it is, a sinister murk has started encroaching on the land of Gemea. In your quest to lift the murk, the player will meet various inhabitants and island spirits.

Yonder’s hero will also be engaging in a spot of “farming, crafting, cooking, fishing and brewing” in order to build some relationships with the locals. It’s all rather charming stuff, as you can see below.
