Serious Sam 4 Pc Stadia August

Serious Sam 4 shaves its name to prep for an August release on PC and Stadia

This time for real.

Serious Sam 4 has been teased since 2013. No, seriously. Croteam has been working for long time on Sam’s big, bad prequel, and now it finally has a launch date. Well, hopefully it does anyway. Who knows if the game will hit any other speed bumps between now and its release month of August this year. When it does land, it’ll be available on both PC and Stadia.

Croteam announced the updated launch time earlier today, with a load of new trailers. This is probably the first time in six years we saw the game in action. You should note that this was when publisher Devolver Digital teased the game as a 2014 release. Since then, the game shaved off its Planet Badass subtitle. But Serious Sam 4 is still very much a Serious Sam game. And of course, the trailer released today starts with everyone’s favorite Headless Kamikaze.

By that, I mean there will still be tons and tons of dudes to shoot. Croteam is promising “thousands” of on-screen enemies at once, so get ready to hold down that back key and left mouse button for another 6-8 hours. Serious Sam 4 will include many of the usual weaponry, ranging form the double-barreled shotgun, minigun, and cannon. Some new weapons include a chainsaw launcher and auto shotgun. Wait, a what launcher?

It launches chainsaws

According to Croteam, you don’t have to take on the hoards all alone. Serious Sam 4 will include four-player online co-op. You and up to three blood-starved buddies can work together to complete campaign missions and sub quests, alike. Both of which, I assume, involve you shooting tons of dudes. I’ve played Serious Sam before, so I know my stuff.

Serious Sam 4 will launch on both PC and Stadia. The latter got the entire Serious Sam collection in early March, so it makes sense for the prequel to head that way as well. Serious Sam 4 will finally release (tentatively) this August.
