Uhrman: Ouya Coming To Other Platforms

Ouya CEO Julie Uhrman has gone on record that they have plans to make Ouya a platform available on other devices.

In fact, Uhrman points out that Ouya always had this in mind. This will not signal an end to making microconsoles, in fact, the idea is to keep making affordable consoles to provide base specs for other platforms that will host Ouya.

Ouya seems set to stay in business in the long term, or as long as they can. Ouya may take lessons from Valve and Steam, which struggled to get widespread acceptance, but fought its way to be accepted into every PC gamer’s computer.

Ouya has more potential than Steam, however. Would you download an Ouya app to play games on your console? Do you think Ouya could be a hit on iPad? Tell us what you think in the comments below.
