Mass Effect: Andromeda Denuvo cracked

The Mass Effect: Andromeda Denuvo anti-tamper piracy protection has been cracked.

The game was released on 23 March so it’s managed to stay safe for a couple of weeks which is at least an improvement over Resident Evil 7 which was cracked in a week.

Denuvo protection is not exactly loved by the gaming community but it has at least saved many games from being cracked on day one giving publishers time to make the sales.

With more games, even Origin games, being cracked quite quickly with the protection in place you have to wonder when it will become less worthwhile adding to games.

Back in December, the Denuvo protection was eventually removed from DOOM with Bethesda deciding it had been out long enough, had made the sales, and perhaps the fact it was there discouraged gamers from picking it up.

With the recent spate of quick cracks on Denuvo protected products, publishers will have to weigh up whether the money they save outweighs the number of consumers not willing to buy a Denuvo protected product in the first week of release. We suspect that for now, the anti-tamper tech is worthwhile. How long that will last remains to be seen.
