Creative Assembly have turned back to the teaser letter as a device today, putting up a Total War: Warhammer 2 missive directed at the High Elf Phoenix King. It begins by talking about High Elf efforts to bolster the Vortex, before moving on to threats from local wildlife.
Teclis gets a mention here, and, since he was in the announcement trailer, is a dead cert for one of the High Elf legendary lords. It’s the Lizardmen, though, that the letter seems to be heralding. Much like the Imperial and Bretonnian letters that preceded further reveals for Beastmen and Wood Elves respectively, this one seems to be saying “look out for a Lizardmen trailer”.
References to “ancient jungle temples” and “Xhotl” certainly add weight to that theory. It could be priming a High Elf Total War: Warhammer 2 reveal I suppose, but that wouldn’t be in-keeping with the previously established pattern. We’ll no doubt find out in due course.
