Elop Heading Xbox Under Microsoft’s Devices Division

Former Nokia head Stephen Elop has now been confirmed to take over Microsoft’s Devices division, which includes Windows Phone, Surface, and most notably, Xbox.

This comes shortly after Nadya Satella has taken over Microsoft itself. If you were thinking that, yes, you remembered right. This is the same Stephen Elop who talked about wanting to sell the Xbox business completely. Xbox One isn’t done going through its launch schedule, and sales numbers have mostly been positive, so we’re doubtful Elop can act on his intentions in the near future. We’ll keep you updated.
