Airtight Games appears to have closed its doors

The developer behind games such as Dark Void and Quantum Conundrum appears to have closed its doors at its Richmond headquarters. The studio has been going for 10 years but it seems like it may have shut down just weeks after the release of its latest game Murdered: Soul Suspect.

The company has yet to release any official statements but as you can see the office is up for sale as well as the furniture. Airtight laid off 14 employee’s earlier this year and the creative director Kim Swift left to join Amazon Games Studios. The Airtight executive told IGN that the lay offs were part of a “necessary restructuring.”

“This restructuring is part of the normal ebb and flow of game production. Existing projects are on schedule and Airtight Games is actively seeking partners for exciting upcoming projects.”

Has the studio closed its doors for good or are we all reading too much into this?
