Cyberpunk 2077 Skippy Keep Return To Owner

Cyberpunk 2077: Keep Skippy or return it to its owner?

Say hello to my little friend.

Skippy is one of Cyberpunk 2077‘s iconic weapons. This smart pistol actually talks. There’s even a sidequest related to it — you can either keep it or return it to its owner. Here’s our mini-guide to help you out.

Cyberpunk 2077: Where to get Skippy and what to do with it

Go ahead and open Cyberpunk 2077‘s world map and look at Heywood – Vista Del Rey. You’ll notice a side job marker at the southwestern section of the area near College St.

It appears as “Undiscovered” at first, so just make your way there.

Double jump to clear the fence and you’ll find a dead body in the alleyway. Skippy is right next to the corpse.

Pick it up and it’ll start talking to V. Hilarity ensues as the iconic weapon hums and makes random comments. It’ll continue doing this from time to time as you progress further in Cyberpunk 2077.

Oh, and Skippy will also present you with two modes:

  • Puppy-Loving Pacifist – Always aims for the extremities; non-lethal shots.
  • Stone Cold Killer – Always aims for the head; lethal shots.

Note: Your task after this is to neutralize 50 enemies using Skippy. Depending on what you chose beforehand, Skippy will switch to the other mode after you’ve taken out 50 enemies. As such, if you want to keep its lethal version (Stone Cold Killer) later, you’ll need to pick Puppy-Loving Pacifist from the get-go.

Keep it or return it?

Lastly, Skippy will eventually tell you about its original owner. It’s none other than Regina Jones, one of your fixers in Cyberpunk 2077. You have the option to return the weapon to Regina to finish the side job. She’ll reward you with some cash, which a fairly underwhelming exchange for a talking gun.

Alternatively, you could tell Skippy “finders keepers.” Skippy would chide V for being a “bad owner,” but it’s not like it could run away. It’s also possible to tell Skippy that you’ll bring it back to Regina and not go through with the whole thing, just continue using the weapon as you normally would.

Remember, Skippy is a smart-type weapon which means your bullets will automatically home in on targets. It can be an effective and fun tool to use, especially since it’s nice to have a noisy fella around. You can learn more in the video below from YouTuber BabyZone:
