Vampire Survivors today library numbers chaos

Vampire Survivors 1.0 is out today

Vampire Survivors is finally complete.

The date has arrived at last. After a series of eventful months filled with updates, teases, and release date announcements, the full 1.0 version of Vampire Survivors has finally, definitively, without any caveats, arrived today. Those who have eagerly awaited the 1.0 version will no doubt want to jump in straight away, but of course, developer poncle has prepared a list of patch notes for those wanting to learn more. Unlike previous patch notes, this one stretches on for quite a while, which only makes sense considering the significance of this update.

Many of the features highlighted in the patch notes, such as the Inverse and Endless Modes, have already received a mention in the previously released “advent calendar” updates. A few new features that we haven’t yet covered include additional skins for five playable characters, a new weapon, an extra event stage, new “Side B” music tracks, and support for 11 extra languages. Additionally, the patch notes go into more detail regarding how both streamers and viewers can make use of the new Twitch mode and its various features.

Well, what now?

At the end of the patch notes, poncle discusses what will come after the 1.0 release. To no one’s surprise, he intends to support Vampire Survivors for a long time to come, with updates planned for both quality-of-life improvements and new features entirely. He does want to work on a brand-new project in the meantime, but he will stop supporting Vampire Survivors only once either he or the fans “get tired of it.”

Now that Vampire Survivors 1.0 has come out today, it really does feel like this silly little game has entered a new era of sorts. The wait for 1.0 may be over, but players will have plenty of reasons to return to Vampire Survivors again and again for the foreseeable future.
