ARC Raiders Closed Alpha registration is open and it’s now a PvPvE extraction shooter

Sign up for the ARC Raiders Closed Alpha now!

If you remember ARC Raiders, you’ll be excited to know that you can register to play in the Closed Alpha right now. You also need to know that while ARC Raiders will still be free to play, Embark Studios has changed trajectories and is now making a PvPvE extraction shooter instead of the PvE defense looter shooter they showed off at 2021’s Game Awards.

How to play the ARC Raiders Closed Alpha

If after watching the ARC Raiders reveal and gameplay trailer you want to jump into the Closed Alpha and play it yourself, you can do so very easily. To sign up for the Closed Alpha, all you need to do is go to the ARC Raiders Steam page and press “Request Access.” If you are logged in, you will successfully register to playtest ARC Raiders and will be notified via email when it is ready.

When it comes to Closed Alphas and Betas, it usually comes down to luck of the draw. Depending on how many people register and how many people Embark Studios has the capacity to add to the early playtest, you may or may not get selected for the ARC Raiders Closed Alpha.

With that said, the Closed Alpha is said to take place sometime in the summer of 2023. So if you are selected to playtest ARC Raiders, you can look forward to an email from Steam with your invite anytime between June and August. Though it did get delayed, we can expect ARC Raiders to come out sometime in 2023 or possibly early 2024.

I for one am very excited to play ARC Raiders and registered for the Closed Alpha (and told you all about it) as soon as I could. I’m very excited about Embark Studios changing ARC Raiders from just a PvE wave-survival game to a PvPvE extraction shooter. It will still be third-person and carry the unique and bold world first showcased, but the overall objective and gaming experience will be different than originally planned.
