Diablo 4 players are sadly underwhelmed by the Seneschal Companion in Season 3

Not as fun as it seems.

Now that Season 3 of Diablo 4 is upon us, many players online are sadly discussing how underwhelmed they are by the Seneschal Companion.

This little robot friend is the main attraction of Season of the Construct, but unfortunately, it seems like they’re not as helpful as players would’ve liked.

Seneschal Companion sadly isn’t impressing many Diablo 4 fans

If you take one look on the Diablo 4 subreddit, you’ll probably notice an influx of posts complaining about the Seneschal Companion. The user “Paul_Allens_AR15” on this Reddit post discussed how Season 3 has taken a great step backwards.

Although they really enjoyed Season 2’s Blood Harvests, it seems like Season 3 just isn’t as fun for them. According to this user, the traps in the Vaults are too punishing, and the Seneschal Companion doesn’t seem to be doing much during combat. But hey, at least you can pet it!

During Season 3, you can unlock Governing and Tuning Stones to upgrade your Construct friend and give it abilities. While they’re certainly performing these abilities, it doesn’t seem like many players are noticing their impact during combat.

Players are going as far as to say that having no robot at all wouldn’t make a difference. A majority of the replies in this post agree with the user, so it seems like most players are sadly underwhelmed by the Seneschal Companion in Diablo 4 Season 3.

Perhaps this backlash will make Blizzard buff the robot companion in a future patch. But since this Season will only last for three months, perhaps we’ll just have to trudge through to get to some of the more fun aspects of the Season, if there are any.

In another Reddit post, this one player already reached level 50 and has yet to see the Seneschal Companion be impactful. Their robot is dealing trivial damage and healing, so it seems like most players aren’t that happy with this Season’s content.
