PSA: Changing the difficulty in FF7 Rebirth can make Fort Condor easier

Easy peasy.

If you’re having trouble beating the Fort Condor stages, you may be in luck! This is a PSA for all FF7 Rebirth players that changing the difficulty can make Fort Condor easier.

You can change Fort Condor’s difficulty by changing FF7 Rebirth’s difficulty

This game has a few different difficulty settings such as Dynamic difficulty, which can be pretty tough if you normally prefer something like Easy or Normal. This is a PSA that changing the difficulty in FF7 Rebirth will also change the difficulty in Fort Condor, which can make it easier to beat. I didn’t know this until players online started discussing this hidden feature.

One person on GameFAQs said that Fort Condor is affected by the main game’s difficulty settings. This could mean either the enemy troops don’t hit as hard on Easy mode, or perhaps you gain ATB charges faster than usual. This player also wondered whether or not other minigames are affected as well. I tried this with Queen’s Blood, but couldn’t tell any difference.

A reply suggested that the games Cactuar Crush and Gears & Gambit are also affected by Easy mode, so perhaps some minigames are affected while others aren’t. Meanwhile, another reply asked about the Piano minigame, but someone else said they didn’t notice a change. Maybe this is because it’s a rhythm game that already lets you change the tempo, which is its own difficulty setting.

It seems to me that only games with certain combat features can be affected by the difficulty. This is a pretty big discovery, since nowhere in FF7 Rebirth does it explain that you can make minigames easier by lowering the difficulty.

Now that you know this, you may find it a lot easier to beat Fort Condor! If you’re struggling to beat the Queen’s Blood tournament, unfortunately, you may be on your own, because changing the difficulty won’t help you there.
