Is No Rest for the Wicked Steam Deck compatible?

At the time of writing, there has yet to be confirmation if No Rest for the Wicked early access will be playable on Steam Deck. That said, the community manager on the No Rest for the Wicked forum page mentioned that the developers are “looking into Steam Deck optimization but can’t promise anything yet.” He wants the player base to “stay tuned” for an update regarding Steam Deck compatibility.

I have a pretty strong confidence that No Rest for the Wicked will work well on the Steam Deck during early access. Back in May 2022, Thomas Mahler, the creative director at Moon Studios, took to Twitter and said, “Our new game is running nicely on the Steam Deck out of the box! It’s very impressive that it ‘just works’.”

Keep in mind that this post from the creative director was sent before No Rest for the Wicked was even announced, but it’s pretty clear that’s the game he was speaking about. In other words, if No Rest for the Wicked was working so well on Steam Deck two years ago, it’s likely that a ton of improvements have been made since then.

With all that said, we still don’t know for sure if No Rest for the Wicked will be playable during early access on Steam Deck. At the time of writing, we have three days until the official start of early access, so it won’t be long now until we officially have the answer.

Once early access begins on April 18, you can check if it’s playable, or even verified, by heading to the official No Rest for the Wicked Steam page and looking for the “Steam Deck Compatibility” section on the right-hand side of the page.

That’s all there is to know about No Rest for the Wicked on Steam Deck. Are you looking forward to early access? Make sure you claim the free in-game Cerim armor by following our guide.
