CD Projekt RED have opened a new studio in Cracow, to assist with the development of both The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077.
And… that’s about it. Adam Badowski, the head of CD Projekt RED, explained the decision by saying “We’re growing and we’re extremely excited that we can tap into the potential that Cracow has to offer. We want to continue to make better and better RPGs and the new studio is another big step in that direction.”
The CD Projekt Group is presumably doing rather well if they’ve got the finances to open another RPG studio while having two large, high-quality titles in the works.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is due out in 2014, while Cyberpunk 2077 is due out in 2077. Or sometime around 2015; possibly a bit later. Whichever’s closer.
