List of accessibility options revealed for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

The force is within all of us.

With accessibility options becoming increasingly prevalent in gaming, some may wonder if Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will have any. As it turns out, the answer is a resounding yes. Recently, EA uploaded a news post detailing every accessibility accommodation featured in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor at launch. The list gets decently extensive, which should hopefully cover a wide swath of players from a variety of backgrounds.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor includes several accommodations that have become standard in the gaming industry by now. Players can, for example, fully rebind their controls, a feature that still hasn’t made its way to every game on the market for whatever reason. They can also pick between five difficulty levels, from Story Mode to Jedi Grand Master, that adjust enemy aggression and parry timing windows. Players can freely change the difficulty level at any point aside from combat sections.

More than just the bare minimum

On top of these, Jedi: Survivor incorporates accessibility options that are a bit less common.  Some of these include a whole suite of tweakable visual elements, such as colorblind options and a toggle for camera shaking. Additionally, the game lets players extensively tweak subtitles and closed captions to have them show up only in specific situations, such as cutscenes or in-game battles.

The game also incorporates a variety of gameplay modifiers, including auto-targeting camera options, hold/pull toggles, and a navigational assist complete with audio ping. Finally, the game takes a page from titles like Celeste by adding a Slow Mode, which does exactly what you think it does.

In addition to the accessibility options featured at launch, Morgan Baker, Program Lead for Accessibility at EA, promises the inclusion of more options in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor later down the line. Menu narration and a high contrast mode serve as just a few of the options the developers plan to incorporate.
