The payoff is worth it.

So you think you’re hard? You think you’re a big man? You wanna play a souls-like on hard mode? Well, Remnant is the game for you, and boy, is it going to make things difficult. Even on an easier level, the game is not scared to punish you for even the smallest mistake. Basic-level enemies, as well as being randomly generated, can kick your butt and pop out of nowhere. Playing Remnant 2 on Apocalypse mode is reserved for the masochistic, but it does come with its own set of rewards.

Playing a game on the hardest difficulty is usually more than just bragging rights. There need to be some extras thrown in to make the game worthwhile. Of course, if you’re a superfan of Remnant 2, then playing it through on the hardest mode is just an act of service. For the rest of us, we need some incentive. Thankfully, Gunfire Games have added just that, with these juicy rewards only available in or after Apocalypse mode.

These guns are all available from Brabus’ shop once you have completed the campaign on the hardest difficulty.

Reward #1 Long Gun Starkiller

The Starkiller is a fantastic alien rifle for those long-range battles. It features a 2.5x scope and deals 80 damage before any upgrades. The rifle features the Gravity Core mod, which creates a sphere of gravity well, pulling in any nearby enemies. When the well expires, it deals AoE damage to all enemies around it.

Reward #2 Long Gun Saviour

Saviour is another long gun available after your first completion of Remnant 2 on Apocalypse mode. It doesn’t have the damage that the previous weapon does, but the mods make it a formidable long-range weapon.

It delivers 72 damage per shot initially. The Shatterstar mod runs for 20 seconds and makes any target hit burn for 100 damage for 10 seconds. Any weak spot hits also fragment and seek out nearby enemies, dealing burning damage for 50% of the primary damage. This is an amazing Apocalypse reward to pick up if you want a long-range gun that can also handle crowds.

Reward #3 Long Gun Repulsor

Repulsor is a long-range gun that works best at about 13 meters. The initial damage is huge at a solid 100 points. The mod also turns it into a great crowd-control gun for those sticky situations.

Banish, the mod this comes with, sends enemies to another dimension for 4 seconds. Once they return, whatever it is they witnessed makes them take 1.25% more damage for 8 seconds. This won’t work on bosses, but they will still take the extra damage. It is a reward after Nightmare and Apocalypse difficulties in Remnant 2.

Reward #4 Melee Weapon Worlds Edge

This sword looks amazing. It is crafted from shards of the world stone and delivers absolutely devastating damage. It has an 80% stagger modifier on top of a base of 101 damage. The mod imbued within its terrifying shaft is called Horizontal Strike. The mod makes charged swings fire a horizontal beam from the swing, penetrating enemies and delivering 116 damage.
