Shrines of Depth can only be unlocked using a Fontaine Shrine of Depth Key. You can obtain these keys through many methods, such as clearing Domains, completing quests, and raising your Adventure Rank. Once you unlock the new Sea of Bygone Eras underwater area in Genshin Impact, you’ll be able to unlock two new Shrines of Depth. Here’s where you can find the two Shrine of Depth locations in the Sea of Bygone Eras.

The first one you’ll find is the left marker on the map. Once you make it inside the Sea of Bygone Eras, navigate yourself to the Hortus Euergetis Teleport Waypoint. On your way there, you should spot your first Shrine of Depth. It’s higher up than the Teleport Waypoint.

The second Shrine of Depth is at the Collegium Phonascorum on the eastern side of the Sea of Bygone Eras. You’ll find it between the two Teleport Waypoints near some purple mushroom-looking coral.

If you still haven’t found this new area yet, you’ll want to first travel to the island of Petrichor. You’ll find this island in the center of all the regions in the new unlockable area from the 4.6 update. The only way to travel to this island is by Waverider, so take the closest Waverider at Bayda Harbor in Sumeru.

Once you arrive on Petrichor, walk towards the Statue of the Seven Waypoint on the island to unlock this part of the map. On the way, you’ll get dragged into a cutscene that will initiate the “Canticles of Harmony” quest chain.

Participating in this quest chain will lead you to unlock the Sea of Bygone Eras! As a reminder, if you’re looking for the new Faded Theatre Domain, it’s located on this island as well!
