The class that banks the most Medallions in a single day earns the win. At the end of Guardian Games, the class with the most days won wins the entire tournament. That’s why Diamond Medallions, a new type that have the power to change to outcome of an entire day, are important to get.

To earn a Diamond Medallion, you need to acquire a Diamond Medallion Contender Card. Contender Cards are one of the best ways to farm Medallions, but they’re also the only way to get a Diamond Medallion. There are three ways to get Diamond Medallions in Destiny 2 Guardian Games:

  • Play Dungeons or Raids
  • Play Trials of Osiris
  • Watch two hours of a Destiny 2 Twitch streamer and claim your Twitch Drop

One Diamond Medallion can be earned by completing tasks in PvE endgame activities which means Dungeons or Raids. One Diamond Medallion can be earned by completing tasks in PvP endgame activities which means Trials of Osiris. Most uniquely, you can watch two hours of a Destiny 2 streamer on Twitch to get a Diamond Medallion as a Twitch Drop.

There are always two Diamond Contender Cards available each week. During Week 1, the Twitch Drop Diamond Medallion is available as well as the Diamond Raider Contender Card which is the PvE option. To complete Diamond Raider, you have to beat all the encounters of a Raid with a full fireteam of the same class. That’s a really high order, one that can only be done with LFG, but it’s worth it for the Diamond Medallion.

It’s important to note: Since Diamond Medallions are worth a lot of points, you can only collect three a week. Whether you collect three via PvP, PvE, or Twitch is entirely up to you, but after you receive your three Diamond Medallions, you need to wait a week. Keep in mind that Guardian Games 2024 only lasts for three weeks, so you can only get nine Diamond Medallions in total.

That’s how you farm Diamond Medallions in Destiny 2 Guardian Games 2024! Understanding it is simple, but accomplishing it can be difficult. Luckily, it’s not as difficult as permanently keeping the hoverboard after Guardian Games is over.
