Alyssa Milano Joins Ghostbusters Cast

Atari has today revealed that Alyssa Milano will join the cast of the upcoming Ghostbusters game. Milano, most recently seen in TV’s My Name Is Earl, will play the part of Dr Ilyssa Selwyn, a “smart and sassy” archaeologist who becomes the focus of Venkman’s romantic intentions. An expert in Sumerian and pre-Sumerian cultures, Dr Selwyn is visiting New York as the guest curator of the ‘World of Gozer’ exhibition.  Fans of the series will note that Gozer appeared in the first film as the shape-shifting god of destruction. In the game’s storyline, Gozerian mythology is now all the rage in NYC, following the unexplained attacks depicted in the first film. Dr Selwyn is working late at the Natural History Museum when a “cataclysmic force” is unleashed, bringing forth an ancient enemy.Ghostbusters: The Video Game is due for release on DS, PC, PS2, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii on 16 June in the US and 19 June worldwide. With a story written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis – and all of the original Ghostbusters team providing voices – the game is a little different to your average movie tie-in.Check out our hands-on preview and video interview for more info.
