With inXile’s Torment: Tides of Numenera coming out at the end of the month, it’s a reasonable time for them to revisit The Bard’s Tale IV in a new update. The focus is a six minute video showing some work in progress exploration and a combat encounter.
This stuff is not final, and inXile themselves say “there are things we’re not in love with yet”. Specifically, the character pop-ups on the HUD and the way they wiggle when talking are very likely to change or even be removed. Imagine more effects on spells and around the environments too. They also plan to “greatly dial up the ambient life in scenes”.
