Palworld: Best Pals for mounted combat

Some Pals will not only let you ride them throughout the world but can use their combat abilities at the same time — perfect for taking down members of the Syndicate or even during boss battles.

While you aren’t able to mount all the Pals in Palworld, the following Pals are going be extremely useful for combat, as they offer some powerful moves from either a distance or up close to enemies.

  • Grizzbolt
    • By now, most of you have seen Grizzbolt, as they’re the Pal that is shown throughout trailers as the one with the ability to use a mini-gun. This enables the Pal to be extremely useful at the onset of battles, as using it first will get some quick burst damage onto your enemy. Furthermore, the electric abilities the Pal has to offer are great for stunning your opponent.
  • Eikthydeer
    • The beloved deer Pal is seen early on in the game, and you’ll notice this Pal is rather efficient at knocking down trees within your base. However, Eikthydeer is also exceptional at combat, as you’ll be able to maneuver throughout the battle fast, causing your enemy to be moving constantly.
  • Direhowl
    • Another early entry is Direhowl, as the wolf Pal is one of the first mounts players will be able to access within the game. There’s nothing wrong with a bit of simplicity. While the moveset doesn’t compare to the likes of Grizzbolt, Direhowl will still offer some great speed, and quick damage when needed.
  • Mammorest
    • The king of the forest is rideable later on within Palworld. While it may not be the fastest mount in the game, it’s one of the strongest. It will also offer players some great health, and it’ll be able to take numerous attacks from other players.
  • Wumpo
    • Rounding out our list is Wumpo. This beloved Pal is rather rare but will be one of the best for end-game content if you can manage to find it.

All in all, these Pals are going to get the job done, but more often than not, most Pals you’re able to find are going to be useful in combat. But, you can never go wrong with some of the strongest Pals…that is, unless you’re more in the market for a flying Pal.
