Modern Warfare Zombies: Best Perk-a-Colas, ranked

At launch, there are nine Perk-a-Colas in MWZ. They fall into the Acquisitions bucket, which means you can find, buy, and use them in a run (if you have enough Essence). As a lover of the classic Call of Duty zombies and a day-one fan, I love to see some of my favorite old Perk-a-Colas come back and get upgraded for Modern Warfare Zombies.

I’ll rank the MWZ Perk-a-Colas from worst to best while explaining what each one does. After that, I’ll detail why some Perk-a-Colas are better than others in my opinion.

  1. Elemental Pop – Every bullet you fire has a small chance to apply a random Ammo Mod effect.
  2. Death Perception – Obscured enemies, chests, resources, and item drops are more easily spotted.
  3. Tombstone Soda – On death, you create a tombstone stash at that location, containing your backpack inventory in the next game.
  4. Deadshot Daiquiri – Aiming down sight moves to enemy critical location. Increase enemy critical damage.
  5. PHD Flopper – Diving to prone triggers an explosion. The explosion increases the higher you fall. Immunity from fall damage while diving. Immunity from area-of-effect damage from weapons you are using.
  6. Stamin-Up – Increases run and sprint speed.
  7. Speed Cola – Reload and replate armor faster.
  8. Quick Revive – Reduce the health regeneration delay time by 50%. Reduce the time it takes to revive an ally by 50%.
  9. Jugger-Nog – Increases maximum health.

The S-tier Perk-a-Colas and reigning champs from old-school Call of Duty Zombies are Jugger-Nog, Quick Revive, Speed Cola, and Stamin-Up. Jugger-Nog and Quick Revive make an excellent combo so you don’t die as quickly and they are great on their own, too. Speed Cola got even better thanks to the ability to plate faster and Stamin-Up is going to be really useful when trying to outrun hordes of zombies and train them together.

Another OG Perk-a-Cola that I think will be surprisingly great in MWZ is PHD Flopper. While it was a great Perk-a-Cola in Black Ops, MWZ has even more verticality to dolphin dive off of which will result in nuke-sized explosions if you’re jumping off a skyrise.

A newer but still OG Perk-a-Cola that I think will be another surprise hit in MWZ is Deadshot Daiquiri. Though I don’t think this one will be used all the time, when you want to go on a boss-focused run, Deadshot Daiquiri is gonna be a must-have.

Tombstone Soda is a brand new Perk-a-Cola that is going to be really great after you’ve built up your arsenal and are going into the Exclusion Zone with a lot of valuables. Though it is situational, it’s a great Perk-a-Cola that basically turns MWZ into a soulsborne game.

If you are hunting for Aetherium, Death Perception is going to be a great Perk-a-Cola. If you aren’t, I think Death Perception is going to get skipped because it’s too niche.

In my opinion, Elemental Pop is the worst Perk-a-Cola because it’s too random. Plus, Ammo Mods exist to give your weapons permanent elemental damage with every bullet. If you don’t have any Ammo Mods and are looking to take out bosses, I suppose Elemental Pop could be good, but otherwise, I’d say avoid it.
