I’ve had a different experience with the Sidewinder than most – it’s becoming one of my favorite battle rifles to use. This boils down to the loadout I use. To learn how to make the Sidewinder good, I got what I think is the best loadout of it in Modern Warfare 3 (MW3).

The only problem I’ve run into with Sidewinder is the recoil, which can be unforgiving. While using this battle rifle, I normally fight in a run-and-gun style, and this build reflects that.Â

Sidewinder Attachments
- Muzzle: Casus Brake L
- Underbarrel: Bruen Pivot Vertical Grip
- Optic: Corio Enforcer Optic
- Stock: Warforged Precision Stock
- Barrel: Predator Precision Barrel
The biggest thing to focus on is recoil as stated above. The Bruen Pviot Vertical Grip paired with the Predator Precision Barrel makes it manageable by giving you more control. For a little more control and better accuracy, the Warforged Stock comes into play, by stabilizing everything to a degree. Since its BR focuses mostly on close quarters, the Optic Corio helps with ADS being quick and tight. As you peer around corners or try to engage the enemy at a medium distance, this scope can help you land your shots better.
Sidewinder Gear
The Sidewinder is a quick shooting gun kind of like an SMG but with better damage. You can more kills in succession with this weapon, and the following gear utilizes that feat.
- Secondary: TYR Revolver
- Field Upgrade Anti-Armor Rounds
- Gloves: Quick Grip Gloves
- Boots: Running Sneakers
- Gear 1: Mission Control Comlink
- Gear 2: Mag Holster
- Vest: CCT Comms Vest
With most of your fights being in close quarters, and if you can’t make all your shots, the TYR can finish the job at that range. To swamp between your weapons and make sure you fire first, consider the Quick Grip Gloves. Paring the Running Sneakers and Mission Control Comlink and Mag Holster together, you can make a deadly combo. This allows you to be quick, move fast, and reload with speed. Mixing that, you can become a problem for the enemy team.
